S6 is thin and light and perfectly adequate for note taking and media consumption. S7 is bulkier, but doesn't have the performance gain to warrant the sice or I decided to go for the iPad 9, which is my first Apple product. The iPad 9 is way more powerful and will probably last you quite a bit longer than the S6 Lite. (I tried both and in terms of snappiness and overall feel there is no comparison imo). The iPad obv is gonna be more expensive if you need the Apple Pencil aswell (although you might while the samsung K B does a really good job recognizing handwritting, mine is very bad, I wish I could "train" it.
